Marriage License Process in Dimmit County

Both applicants must appear together at the Dimmit County Clerk's office. Bring valid photo ID and Social Security numbers. Under Texas Family Code Chapter 2, acceptable IDs include a driver's license, passport, certified birth certificate issued within the past 10 years, or military ID. The application is completed in the office.

After the license is issued, you must wait 72 hours before the ceremony under Texas Family Code Section 2.204. The license stays valid for 90 days from the issue date under Section 2.201. After the ceremony, the officiant signs the document and it goes back to the county clerk within 30 days.
